Visiting Godalming

Here you'll find lots of information to help you reach us for the festival.

Please check back before you travel, as we are working hard to make transport options as accessible as possible for all!

By road

Godalming is easily accessible by road:
From the North, take Junction 10 of the M25 onto the A3 and follow signs to Godalming.
From the South, take the A3 from Portsmouth and follow signs to Godalming.

The nearest parking is at Crown Court car park, next to The Bury's Field. Accessible and bicycle parking is available.

Bear in mind that Uber does not serve Godalming, however there are plenty of private taxi services nearby and in Guildford.

By train

Godalming is situated 5.5 miles southwest of Guildford and has two railway stations (Godalming and Farncombe) on the South Western Railway service between London (Waterloo) and Portsmouth Harbour. London (Waterloo) is approximately 40 minutes away.

The festival site is 5-10 minutes walk away.

Park & Ride

To make your festival experience as smooth as possible, we’ll be running a dedicated Hoppa bus service throughout the day from our Park & Ride locations directly to the festival site.

Buses will run regularly to and from both sites, so you can arrive and leave with ease. Both car parks are also within walking distance of the festival, though routes include hills and may not be suitable for those with accessibility needs.

(Please note: this is for cars only – large buses and coaches are not permitted)

Please note it is not possible to camp or park motorhome vehicles on the ChoirBLAST site. Here are some options close by:

Other places to stay

We recommend checking sites such as Booking.com, Vrbo and AirBnB for your preferred style of accommodation. Here are a few pointers:

  • Guildford - it's easy to get to ChoirBLAST, there are frequent trains and buses, plus taxi ranks and Uber. There are more large capacity hotels in Guildford such as the Holiday Inn (just off the A3), The Harbour Hotel, and The Mandolay, if your choir members would like to stay together.

  • Farnham and Haslemere are the next largest towns nearby, and can access Godalming well by road.

  • If you are planning to stay in smaller villages or anywhere in the beautiful Surrey Hills, you are advised to check transport options as to whether you will need a car. Please refer to the above sections on parking at ChoirBLAST, as the town centre car parks will be very busy!
