Community Choir Leader

Paid role - hourly rate based on experience | Part-time | Remote (Godalming-based charity)

BECOME A CHOIRBLAST LEADER

We are looking for experienced choir leaders/musicians/music teachers to join our team. With piano or instrumental skills as well as singing.

If you have aspirations of becoming a leader but need a bit of help getting there we are also offering a training programme for future ChoirBLAST leaders. We can teach you to lead, play and be the leader that the ChoirBLAST community choirs are looking for!

Make a genuine difference to peoples lives, grow communities and support physical and mental health, along with well being and social support.

These are paid roles but you may choose to volunteer as a leader as well if you wish to give back to the community.

Finance Assistant

Up to £25/hour | Part-time / Contractor | Remote (Godalming-based charity)

We're looking for a reliable, detail-driven Finance Assistant to keep our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly, supporting our Treasurer with clean, audit-ready records.

You'll handle weekly bookkeeping, monthly reconciliations and event-related finance admin, including support for our flagship annual ChoirBLAST Festival.

Time commitment:

Weekly: 2 to 3 hours
Monthly: an extra 2 to 4 hours
Event periods (May to July): up to 8 hours a week, including your regular tasks

What you'll be doing:

Inputting bank transactions and coding income and expenditure accurately
Processing supplier invoices, purchase receipts and vendor invoices
Bank reconciliations across two accounts, plus PayPal, JustGiving, EasyFundraising and Enthuse
Preparing platform payout analyses and month end journals
Supporting event finance, including floats and dual-control counting of takings
Maintaining accurate records for street collections, raffles and merchandise sales

What we're looking for:

Strong bookkeeping and finance administration skills
A good understanding of internal financial controls, ideally from a small charity or small business
Confidence with Excel, Word and accounting systems (Xero, Sage or similar)
Reliable, organised and motivated to support a small, high-impact charity
An accounting qualification, or qualified by experience

Make a genuine difference behind the scenes, helping ChoirBLAST bring free, professionally-led community choirs to children, people living with physical health challenges, and those facing mental health and wellbeing barriers.
