Our Community Choirs
Everything we do at ChoirBLAST is about people. The funds raised through our festival and wider fundraising go straight back into the community, creating spaces where people can come together, feel supported, and experience the joy of singing.
Each week, our choirs reach people at very different stages of life, but the feeling is often the same. A sense of belonging. A moment to breathe. A chance to be heard.
We currently work with six local organisations:

Wharf Songbirds
At The Wharf Nursery, Godalming
With over 50 children aged 2–4, these sessions are often a first introduction to music. Through simple songs and Makaton, we create a playful, inclusive space where every child can join in, express themselves, and feel part of something.
Moss Lane Songsters
At Moss Lane Infant School, Godalming
For 40+ young children, this choir is about confidence and discovery. Singing in harmony, supported by Makaton, they begin to understand what it means to listen, collaborate and create something together.

Singing Foxes
At St Mark & All Saints Primary School, Godalming
Our first Community Choir! Here, 20 young singers grow in confidence week by week, building friendships and finding their voice through shared song.
The Meath Music Sessions
At The Meath Epilepsy Charity, Godalming
Weekly 90-minute sessions for 20–40 individuals with complex physical and learning needs. These sessions focus on harmony, expression and connection through inclusive singing.

Samson Singers
At The Samson Centre for MS, Guildford
For people living with MS, this choir offers more than music. Singing together supports breathing, posture and wellbeing, but just as importantly, it creates a space of understanding, warmth and community.
Oakleaf Singers
At Oakleaf, Guildford
This choir is about creating a positive, welcoming space where people can connect, build confidence and support their wellbeing through singing. Open to adults managing their mental health, the choir offers friendship, encouragement, and a chance to step away from isolation and simply make music together.

Community Choir Volunteers
We are always looking for enthusiastic, passionate people who love to
sing, to help support the singers in the community choirs we run. It’s all about learning harmony parts, aiding the understanding of lyrics and emotions in a song, and supporting the choir leader to be able to deliver consistent sessions.
Clicking the apply button will open an email window - alternatively, you can email us directly on info@choirblast.com
ChoirBLAST is a registered charity.
We also hold an annual festival event, designed to bring the joy of contemporary harmony singing to everyone!
