ChoirBLAST is growing!

As ChoirBLAST continues to expand, so too does the scale of what we’re delivering. More singers, bigger events, wider reach, and a growing charitable impact. With that growth comes the need for a clearer, more sustainable structure that supports the people doing the work and ensures strong governance for the future.

We’re delighted to share an updated organisational structure that allows us to play to people’s strengths, streamline decision-making, and spread responsibility more evenly across the team.

How we’re structured

ChoirBLAST now operates with two closely connected layers of leadership, each with a clear and complementary focus.

Operations / Executive Board

  • As part of this updated structure, Annabelle Lawrence will be stepping away from her role as Trustee in order to support a clear distinction between the charity’s operational delivery and its Board of Trustees. Annabelle has been instrumental in shaping ChoirBLAST from its earliest days, working alongside Phoebe to bring the original vision to life, and she has given extraordinary energy, commitment, and passion to the project. She will remain closely involved as Lead Marketing Co-ordinator, continuing to play a central role in the delivery and promotion of ChoirBLAST events.

  • We are also delighted to confirm that George Leach is stepping into the role of Lead Logistics and Data Co-ordinator. Many of you will already know George as a constant and tireless presence behind the scenes, overseeing staging, transport, and the meticulous management of our operational data. In this new role, George will oversee the logistical coordination of the charity as a whole, and we are thrilled to welcome him formally onto the Executive Operations Board.

  • We are equally pleased to welcome Tom Stottor and Lisa Ashe into key leadership roles within the ChoirBLAST team. Tom joins us as Lead Volunteer Co-ordinator, bringing a background in management and the publishing industry. He will work closely with volunteers and the wider team to ensure clear communication, wellbeing, and focus across all activity. Lisa takes on the role of Lead Fundraising Co-ordinator, leading our fundraising strategy at a crucial point in the charity’s development. With her strategic insight and drive, Lisa will play a vital role in ensuring ChoirBLAST can continue to grow sustainably and meet its charitable objectives.

  • The Executive Operations Board roles are therefore as follows:

    • CEO: Phoebe Gaydon

    • Lead Marketing Co-ordinator: Annabelle Lawrence

    • Lead Logistics and Data Co-ordinator: George Leach

    • Lead Volunteer Co-ordinator: Tom Stottor

    • Lead Fundraising Co-ordinator: Lisa Ashe

This structure allows decisions to be made efficiently and close to the action, while keeping everyone aligned with the charity’s wider mission.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees provides oversight, governance, and strategic direction, ensuring that ChoirBLAST remains financially sound, ethically robust, and true to its charitable purpose. The trustees support and hold the CEO to account, helping to steer the long-term vision of the organisation.

Our current Board of Trustees is:

  • Phil Beck (Secretary): background in large corporate industry.

  • Jo Fox (Treasurer): corporate finance specialist with non-executive director experience.

  • Caroline Swaisland (Trustee: PR, Safeguarding): background in the arts as a small business owner and currently working in education.

  • Phoebe Gaydon, (Chair): founder of ChoirBLAST,  musician and local business owner.

Together, this brings a strong balance of corporate expertise, financial oversight, creative insight, and sector knowledge.

The combination of the Operations and Trustee roles are vital in helping ChoirBLAST grow sustainably while continuing to deliver high-quality, joyful singing experiences.

Get involved

As we grow, we’re always keen to hear from people who may be interested in joining us, particularly in a trustee role. If you have a love of singing, believe in the power of music to bring people together, and want to support a growing arts charity, we’d love to hear from you.

This new structure marks an exciting step forward for ChoirBLAST. Clearer roles, shared responsibility, and a framework that supports both ambition and care. Thank you for being part of our journey. The best is still to come.
