ChoirBLAST Festival 2025: A record-breaking celebration of choirs and community

On Saturday 14th June, Godalming came alive with the sound of 78 choirs and nearly 3,000 singers as ChoirBLAST Festival returned for its third year. From morning to night, streets and green spaces were filled with music, laughter and connection – proving once again that group singing has the power to bring people together like nothing else.

The line-up spanned every style you can imagine, from gospel and pop to jazz, folk and contemporary. International guests Soul Song from Brisbane, Australia joined inspiring mixed-ability choirs such as The Meath Epilepsy Charity, the halow project, Pond Meadow School and Wholenotes. With performances across Burys Field, the Bandstand and the riverside, plus food stalls, family activities and a buzzing festival atmosphere, it was a day (and night) to remember.

And the best part? Together, we raised over £15,000. Every donation – whether online, at the gates or through the raffle – is already helping us run and grow our community choirs. These choirs provide weekly opportunities for over 90 singers of all ages and abilities to experience the joy of making music, building confidence and forming lasting friendships.

We now have three weekly choirs up and running, and thanks to your support, we’re ready to do even more.

To everyone who sang, volunteered, sponsored, supported or simply came along to listen – thank you. You helped create something unforgettable, and you’re the reason we can keep making group singing accessible to everyone.

We believe in Group Singing – Happy Minds – Healthy Communities. And with your help, the music will only keep growing.
