At ChoirBLAST, our mission has always been simple: to bring people together through the shared joy of singing. But joy is only truly shared when everyone can join in — regardless of background, ability, or circumstance.
The festival is a living celebration of that ethos. From choirs performing in BSL to inclusive groups welcoming people with complex health needs, every performance proves that music can transcend barriers. But creating a genuinely inclusive festival doesn’t happen by accident — it takes planning, investment, and care.

That’s why we make accessibility a priority in every detail. Our venues are chosen not just for their acoustics and atmosphere, but for their ability to welcome everyone. This means ensuring accessible toilets, disability hoists, level or ramped access, and step-free performance spaces. For some, these may seem like small things. For others, they are the difference between being able to take part or being excluded entirely.

We’ve seen the difference this makes — the pride after a first public performance, the friendships formed over shared harmonies, the quiet transformation of someone who begins to believe their voice matters. This is inclusion in action.
But it’s also work that needs funding: from the up-front costs of the choir sessions themselves to all the supporting expenses. The ongoing support of skilled leaders mean that charitable backing is essential. Without it, these vital community opportunities simply wouldn’t exist. That’s why we are constantly seeking new forms of sponsorship — from local businesses, national organisations, and community partners — to keep our work sustainable and growing. With your continued support, we can make the welcome warmer, the stage bigger, and the music truly for all. If you would like to support our charity and would like some inspiration – these are some of the areas you can help...
£650 would provide a disability toilet with ramp and turning circle.
£100 would provide a disabled toilet.
£1,500 would enable us to have accessibility staging for the Field Stage.
£350 would provide a BSL interpreter for the day.
£3,500 - £5,000 supports ChoirBLAST Community Choir sessions for a year, in partnership with one of the charities we support such as the Meath Epilepsy Charity or the Samson Centre.
Moving forward, our aim is clear: to keep opening doors — both literal and metaphorical — so that every voice has a place in the ChoirBLAST story.
